Fix IPTV Buffering & Freezing in Kenya

IPTV buffering and freezing are usually caused by slow internet or poor WiFi signal.

Introduction

IPTV buffering and freezing are usually caused by slow internet or poor WiFi signal.

1

Check your internet speed

Run a speed test at fast.com. You need at least 10 Mbps for HD and 25 Mbps for 4K. If your speed is lower, contact your ISP.

2

Move closer to your WiFi router

Distance from your router is a major cause of IPTV buffering. Move the device closer to the router or use an ethernet cable if possible.

3

Restart your router and device

Turn off your router for 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Also restart your device (phone, Firestick, Smart TV). This fixes most buffering issues.

4

Close other apps using your internet

Other devices or apps downloading/streaming at the same time reduce bandwidth. Pause downloads, stop other streams during IPTV viewing.

5

Lower the video quality

In your IPTV app, switch from 4K or 1080p to 720p. This uses less bandwidth and reduces buffering on slower connections.

6

Switch from WiFi to ethernet (if possible)

A wired ethernet connection is always faster and more stable than WiFi. Use an ethernet cable from your router to your Firestick or TV Box if available.
